Blairsden is a tangible reminder of an era when lavish estates combined the finest elements of style, design, detail, and luxury. Architectually, the house is much the same as when the Blair family lived there. Although Blairsden retains just thirty acres, much of the structural elements of the original landscape architecture remain, as do some of the original paintings. Incredibly, the area surrounding Blairsden and the magnificent views of Ravine Lake and the Raritan River watershed remain much as they were a century ago. Fourtately, that is because much of the estate's original acreage has remained in large, undeveloped tracts, some owned by Blair family descendants.
